Friday at 12:45 in Springfield Ma. I saw a Steam Engine on the back of a Tractor Trailer flatbed all freshly painted in primer red headed south on I 91. I did not get a good look at it as I was going north. It may have been a Mogul or other type smaller engine.

Does anyone know what I saw in transit

One guess from a friend was a privately owned train "Naraganset Pier" Train that was in N.Y. and the owner had passed on so it was sold to someone else.
Just a guess however.

That's a 1934 Baldwin 50-ton 0-4-0T moving from Shelburne Falls, Mass to Willimantic, CT. Donated by a private owner to CT Eastern RR Museum. It had been at Essex Ct from 1971 until about 1995. Needs a lot of boiler work.
