For those that are interested in such things, the EX SP 982 (2-10-2, F-1 Class, Baldwin 1919 ) is being moved from Herman Park ( where it was parked in 1957 ) to right across the road from the baseball stadium. It'll rot there just as much as it rotted in Herman Park I guess. Its dissapointing, as there were other plans for the locomotive that fell through. The other plans would have probably seen a full mechanical restoration, but would have had her covered regardless.

One is grateful that SP 982 has been preserved, even though most unimaginatively installed. The fence is much too close to it, such as to prevent photography. One hopes this can be altered at some point.
