It’s been around

Both those two engines have a lot of history in my area. Frequently seen on the Southern in the good old days. Lots of pictures of 3026 in Lakehurst still in the old Conrail paint.

Colorful AC44C6M 4001 was a dpu on YPCA15 building NS 39G Wednesday morning.

It was a long train with about 70 steel slab goes and four steel coil cars in front of the dpus. One of the coil cars was Conrail, with a Conrail cover.

Where do all of these steel cars go when they come in? Always see a big line of them sitting on the siding in Westville…

I don't know where they go. In the past they've gone to the River Rouge Ford plant and a steel plant on the Pennsylvania-Ohio border.

The cars get loaded in the Port of Paulsboro and go to a foundry in OH.

Pretty sure the Steel slabs come from Russia. Used to be a bulk train until PSR kicked in. The slabs go to NLMK Steel in Farrell, PA
