The Kingston show was cancelled due to it show manager being ill. I have not confirmed it, but heard it from 2 people who attend as dealers.

In addition to what is discussed above,it raises the question of ownership of the ROW. If the County of Ulster purchased the line, where is the proof ? In addition, was proper procedure followed in regards to sale of the line after abandonment ? Often the time frame between abandonment and new owner...

The Catskill Mt Railroad has sent a letter of intent to the County to access the line all the way to CSX. They have also requested that CSX replace the switch for interchange and access to the Kingston Yard.

The comments on the facebook post were interesting. It seems one problem the CMR has is they never went official with the 1980s freight service, trying to fly under the radar as a hobby railroad and avoid scrutiny that would have created big problems for their operations. At least that's what someo...

I now have a ALCO MI booklet showing information for a number of Main Generators including the 581, 584 and 586 along with one or two others. BTW, the DL-535-S uses a 581E Main Generator.

Speaking of the "C" Liner, the LIRR has asked ALCO for a proposal to re-engine them with ALCO 12-251 engines in the early 60's. Needless to say, it proved that buying brand new C420's was a better deal.

I am not sure what you're asking? ALCO used this Generator, not EMD.

It seems like that people are looking but no buying. As a dealer at the GTE, this was clearly the worst year for me as far as sales go. I barely broke even. According to other dealers I spoke with, some had the same results. I will say that talking to many people was enjoyable. I thought advertising...
