Thanks everyone for the kind words! The Lower Road to Augusta was not included in the bid this time around - there will be no designated operator of that line on January 1st, although I believe the freight rights revert to Pan Am if there is no State-assigned operator. Bids were submitted only for t...

No updates on the new Geeps, unfortunately. As of last week, SW1200 #563 is back in service. Now that that's out of the shop, we'll see what happens next.

Yes, I'm still with the MERR, and actually wrote that press release. Harmony is just the one who happens to be answering the questions!

Yes, I believe we have 16 charters already confirmed for various weekdays between June and October, which are not listed on our public schedule.
But us railfans want to know so we can take pictures!!

The 2015 schedule only has 26 operating days (including "Labsta"fest. That's not a lot. I know that mid week doesn't generate enough passenger counts but no July service (OK, three days)? I know August is the big month but I thought July would have enough customers to warrant running but ...

Aw man. From an outside railfan perspective 79 is my favorite of the three, Ive always liked high hood GP9s, yet thats just personal taste. 79 should get least priority to run since 23 and 21 are identical. It's also the only one that has never been rebuilt since the 1950s. 23 and 21 were rebuilt i...

Now whats the situation with the 21 and 79? 21 is next in line into the shop once they're done tinkering with 23. 79 is after 21. Right now, the plan is to have all three run, but if for some reason that's not possible, 79 will likely be the odd man out. Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but are...
