Anyone have any idea on what happened to the 9935? Is it still sitting in North Canaan?
In additional news, the Grafton News is reporting that the town has been ordered to repay all the court costs to the G&U and the STB. How much more money do they expect to have to waste on a SCOTUS appeal, assuming they even bother hearing a case that's been decided three times over already?
Once more, the town of Grafton gets smacked down...

Incorrect. We in EB don't have to go to the STB, while the NBRR would and there have been no filings. There is no preemption, as the line was abandoned legally through ICC in 1972, NBRR is at best a landowner, and NOT a RR. Totally different scenario than G&U as that line was not legally abando...

I don't think it would be the town paying taxes to itself. Probably taxes being paid to the state and/or the feds...

OTOH, I've been told that the electric utility isn't required to follow the electric code and uses undersized wires. I'll agree, only because they're on a com...

I spent all of 06-23-2015 north of I-290, so I'd appreciate it if someone could advise me whether North Grafton is still there. Well, Flynn's/Al's Oil is still here as of 6/25... Considering it's in the "fallout zone" that the local mob is so worried about, I think we're OK... Also, did I...
Town should get an injunction preventing them from bringing in those lead-paint covered tanks. Worked for Kingston NY against the CMRR. From what I understand, not for long. The old "dump truck on the tracks" trick didn't go over well either.. http://www.dailyfreeman.com/general-news/2013...

I get the feeling that part of this rail move from Hopedale is convenience... Then the rest is rubbing it in the face of the town. Not that they haven't been asking for it... Also precludes any town "interference" on things like bridge weight limits etc. True... Although I'm waiting to se...
