But the flip side to this is that there really isn't any new technology or anything that is needed. Europe runs electrified freight lines, so there is even some operational experience that is at least somewhat relevant. At the end of the day it is a business decision, and there are both costs and be...

I was on US 61 the other day, and noticed *lots* of CPR vehicles and lots of track work on an extended stretch of track. I couldn't quite tell what they were doing - I saw what looked like new ties lying by the side ready to be installed, but I couldn't tell from the road if there was more to it tha...

Jack, we try to keep the application small and use as little memory as possible to make it compatible with older phones. Your Razr is probably a CLDC 1.0 phone (quite old), and these phones (this is why you are getting the message) are not supprted because they don't have the functionality to do wh...

Here is something I just got from the county supervisor: With Phase I construction underway, including four stations in Tysons Corner on the way to Wiehle Avenue in Reston, rail to Dulles is imminent . Work on Route 7 roadway enhancements will begin later this summer and rail construction all along ...

I had thought that the point of upgrading the substations was mainly to support 8-car trains throughout the system.

We live in the Tysons area, so I see a lot of this stuff going on every day. On the south side of Rt 7, it looks like the utility relocation digging is largely finished - a few weeks ago they had deep holes where they were building something (underground vaults, I imagine). Now those holes are fille...
