I like the SEPTA Key for the most part. I think it is the natural progression of the Transpass (from the days when I had a Monthly Transpass). However, I have already encountered the question of compatibility with the Railroad Division, a problem I do not understand. I e-mailed SEPTA about using the...

That's really cool what the fundraiser you mentioned accomplished, I could imagine something like that could benefit CMSL as well.

Thank you all for the information. Does anyone know when the next meeting will be, if it is public I would like to attend. Also, I mailed the application form in 3 weeks ago, will DRPA send some kind of response letter at some point?

Jersey Central Track Maps Engineering/Drafting Scale?

OK, I know I'm really reaching, but I have decided to kill some time and transition the paper copies I have of the CNJ into an AutoCAD format. I am an experienced draftsman and architect; I took my draftsman's scale to the track maps and in what I have 1"=1mile. This is where I get lost - Start...

Current SJ timetable?

by rrbluesman ¦  Wed Jun 08, 2016 1:11 am ¦  Forum: New Jersey Railfan ¦  Topic: Current SJ timetable? ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 1696

Does anyone know where I might find a current timetable for CSAO south Jersey operations? The timetable on sjrail.com doesn't coordinate to the action I saw this evening at Woodbury, wondering if I caught a special train or the sjrail timetable is no longer accurate.

Millville Branch MOW work?

Anyone know about the MOW work on the Millville Branch? I noticed adjacent to the Woodbury parking lot there appears to be polymer ties now and I understand there is other work being done along the line. Is this routine MOW work or is something special happening like higher level of service or prepa...

Is that track pictured in Lakehurst under ConRail care? Will that need to be rebuilt too?

While driving down Spring Road through Winslow Junction tonight I passed by about half a dozen climbing on the roofs of cars, throwing rocks and possibly spikes through windows, and some other vandalism. I drove down to Winslow Manor where I parked and called the Winslow Police, who responded to Win...

After I rode PATCO the other day, I noticed a pamphlet for the DRPA/PATCO Citizens Advisory Committee on the wall. I picked it up and after a day or two of thinking about it I have decided to submit the application. Until this pamphlet, I have never heard of them before, does anyone know much about ...

It is great to see that work is progressing up there, thank you for the pictures! Silly question, is that the old CNJ rail or is it new rail? I know the crossings are new, but unsure about the rest of the rail itself.

The ACL and freight rail lines access Philly from south Jersey using the Delair Bridge over the Delaware north of Camden in Pennsauken. A new light rail operation would have to cross there as well - the connections to make that happen already exist.

When the PATCO plans first started to circulate through the communities 10 years ago I went to the town meetings - Absolutely zero serious engineering studies had been done, the public was presented with pie in the sky dreams of running via Route 42, the Atlantic City Expressway, and Route 55 from C...

The end of Penn Central was an inevitable consequence of bad planning, poor merger judgement (both on the railroad and government ends), and outdated and failed regulations, laws, and rules. In my opinion, Penn Central should never have been allowed to come to pass by government agencies involved - ...

I think the stairs you are talking about lead to crew facilities, I do not think they were ever public access.
