I wonder if there'll be a push to (re?)connect the Everett Terminal turnout stub tracks back to the mainline before the 2nd St. grade crossing. That thing is already a mile long and would keep the full consist from fouling a commuter slot on the main while it's in-transit. I don't see that happenin...

My father was an engineer for the B&M, and after the storm when the Govenor banned driving, he set out to walk from Stoneham to Woburn Center to report for duty. Fortunately, a canteen truck took pity on him and gave him a ride the rest of the way. Later that day, he was running a train from Low...
How do people get home from Saratoga? Is their a convenient train that returns to Boston? The information sent to the Mileage list indicated that there would be a bus operated to bring people back from Mechanicsville on Saturday. If you need the miles to Saratoga, you'll have to find your own way h...
Does anyone know if work on the Haverhill-Bradford bridge includes either altering or replacing the though-truss section to permit full DS? My research indicates that the bridge already has sufficient clearance for full double stacks. The Ferry Rd. OH bridge, currently under reconstruction, and the...
MP G6 (Georgetown) is just east of the Elm St. UG bridge at Bradford station in Haverhill. It's behind the liquor store.
I scrolled up to the big pit, and saw a caboose just southeast of the pit next to the upper level track. Does anyone know its history?
I never realized the scale of the operation in there. I particularly liked the loop that gets the track to a lower level. Looks like a modeler's dream.

Given Norm Vigeant's photo of 12-16 ( http://photos.nerail.org/s/?p=205501 ), this may or may not be the appropriate thread to state that at 0950 on 12-17-2012, D-3 gave SRS125 to the Burncoat YL to wait for a foreman and the later to Harvard. No on-air discussion if it was for a Sperry ferry or ac...

130MM- For loose appliances and dome lids on the future ethanol service? Thanks. More than likely for Littleton Station. There actually was quite a discussion on what height to set the detector to transmit an exception. In other words, when the signal is displayed as "Clear" how far is th...
