A fellow in out club has a hot dog stand just slightly west of the CSX yard in West Springfield MA at a local road crossing. Hi stand is about 50 feet from the rails. Also a pretty good train watching spot at times. Very recently a freight was heading west and he noticed one car had a truck with the...

The bridge has ripped off many trailer truck boxes over many years. The are four openings under the complete span. The east side of the span has enou...

I found that interesting as I lived in Pocomoke City from July, 1970 until Jan 1984. Worked at Wallops Island, Spandar Radar facility. I remember the line in the earlier 1970s was pretty bad. Did those boxcars wobble. I remember looking up old rail lines in the area. I think one extended into VA a l...

I was at the Granby Road section today and took some pictures. From Granby Road up to Rt 33 in the direction of Westover, the rails are ripped up. From Granby Road looking toward the direction the line connects to the main is all over grown with bushes. Nothing has been through there in many years m...

Thanks. I found a brass HO scale NJ Custom Pacemaker caboose for $75.00 at a online train shop that not many modelers know exist. A couple weeks later on ebay, one went for about $180 I believe. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l267/richg1998/NYC%20Freight%20cars/BrassPacemakercaboose.jpg http://i9...

I model HO scale and have ordered the Atlas Pan Am Railway #350 with DCC/sound. I found out about the business cars and I am looking for up to date info on these cars. I did search this forum for business cars but got lost in all the rhetoric. It believe they are 72' from what someone in the area to...

I worked at a place from 1995 to 2002 called Dunsirn Industries right next to Avery Dennison that was hoping to have a track brought in behind the building which would have meant coming back out of Westover proper but the manger of the plant at the site walked the line with other people involved and...

New member here.
I went by the Westover section today on Granby Rd, being ripped up with tons of fill pilled up on the right of way leading toward Rt 33. Granby Rd is being completely re-done between Montgomery Street interesction and Rt 33. Did not have a chance to look at any other section.
