Horseheads (2), Watkins Glen, Elmira, Ithaca (2), Sayre.
The Erie Railroad's Chemung NY station is no more.. drove by today and noticed it was gone..Not sure exactly when it was torn down, sometime in the last month probably. (I usually glance at it when I drive by on route 17, and I *think* it was still there on Thanksgiving, seems I would have noticed ...
Its too bad,a bldg. of its historical value,couldn't be used/supported by a model railroad club,again if enough supporters lived in the area.Too many ifs,just don't like to see them disappear,a loss of character trackside. Im looking for info on great spots to get trains near Harrisburg/Dunncannon. Also directions best way to get to the locations. I never train watched this area before besides a quick stop at Rockville, Pa on the way to Strasburg.

im not sure but the line to Elmira ran right next to Kennedy Valve (fire hydrant plant). That business is still around, tracks are still visible.. I grew up in Elmira

Hands down altoona, its a 2nd home to me lol. strasburg, pa is nice too, rockville, enola (never stopped there to see action in the ns yard. Sand Patch i heard is great too for CSX, never seen that too.

there is only a few brick streets left in elmira. one is on railroad ave & w 3rd st. Hilliard owns the station & the lot next to it used as employee parking lot. railroad ave to 2nd st is paved.
Are there any heritage units coming to williamsport, pa area or run alot on pburgh line in altoona area? Im looking to get a shot of a heritage unit, ill be down in altoona on the 13th of oct as a bday trip for myself.
