Pollard, The Williamstown Branch in PRSL days was cut back from the original ACRR/Reading Co. branch, but I don't know what date is was done. If you could give an approximate year you are trying for it would help, as the railroad cahnged a lot over the years and major portions were lost after the me...

I'm pretty sure the it was named after a Reading Company president. The interlocking station that was there before it was for the crossing of the ACRR main and the WJ&SSRR Millville line was designated by it's telegraph code of "UR" Tower.

Pollard7545, Please fell free to contact me about any questions you might have concerning the interlockings and towers for your project. I am a former block operator for the Seashore Lines and still have many interlocking charts, rule books, timetables, etc. from the late 1960's and early 1970's. Good ...

Roymickle, I rode this trip in 1968 and it ran from Camden and boarded where Yorkship station used to be,on No.2 track between Morgan Blvd and Brown Tower. The train then backed up through Brown Interlocking and crossed over to No.1 and went down the Clementon Branch, which was all former ACRR tracka...

Do you mean the yard just south of Gray's Ferry around 24th and Jackson?
If so,yes they did have a round house and a fairly capable repair facility. my father told me many stories about the roundhouse as it was his first railroad job that he started in 1943.

I'm glad to see Tuckahoe being restored,it was one of my favorite towers to work when I was a block operator for the Seahore Lines. The whole tower would shke when using the 'Armstrong" machine to throw any levers for the turnouts. I wonder if they'll let an old railroader see the inside when t...
