Re: Major NJT cuts, no AC line for 5 months and more

I just feel like NJT could do so much more for the AC Line. If it ran more frequent more people would ride it, it seems they have never tried to add more runs to the line. I know its only a one track line half the route but atleast do something. I do feel that this is a sugarcoat to close the line. ...

This does seem like a big scope project for SEPTA. I'll be glad to see the overhead catenary system structures be replaced. The old ones are rotting away...have they been there since the beginning of the PRR ?

I think the 36 along Elmwood Avenue will be back in service soon. I think the track work is almost done. Far as Woodland Ave the bridge at 47-48th Sts is being reconstructed so routes 11, and 36 is/will be detoured to Chester Avenue via 49th St.

SEPTA ain’t running no mix consist lol. Maybe in yard moves , if the Silverliner VI and V’s not mixed the. The coaches and mlbs won’t be. Please don't make claims like this without bringing any new evidence to the thread. I see no reason that lack of EMU mixing would mean there can be no coach mixi...

SEPTA ain’t running no mix consist lol. Maybe in yard moves , if the Silverliner VI and V’s not mixed the. The coaches and mlbs won’t be. That looks tacky anyway lol. But I’ve been meaning to ask and express if SEPTA would exercise their options on both contracts. I think it make sense , particularl...

They are really pushing these babies out Quickly. I like that. They was ahead schedule with the first car....so there will be five units in SEPTA LAND once they get here. Siemens might have to make the next push-pull coaches, and LRV's at this rate lol. I can see SEPTA being happy about this and kee...

I'm wondering the same. Why didn't NJT add some extra service for this special event.... are all the cars really out on the runs in North Jersey. ? I know many people are not gonna wanna drive in the city, why not swap those sets and throw MLV's on the line. That would possibly double the capacity. ...

If anything since they are not putting them at all the railroad stations...then possibly at least put them at the end of the lines terminus. *Trenton *West Trenton *Wilmington *Newark *Media Just a few...esp The stops in NJ, DE. Well Trenton already sells the SEPTA TICKETS ON THE NJT Vending machine.

If i had heard some loud noise and particularly 2x like that, i would have been right with the passengers. Something like that probably scared them to death and they didn't know what it was.

It makes so much so sense to go with a proven product. If anything SEPTA should not have used the NJT MLVs in pics and specs of what they was getting. That on another hand was in so many ways we want we want. They could have said on the lines of a "MLV Vehicle". I guess we shall really fin...

If the cars offer something substantial over the competitors besides price, I would be more willing to accept them. Something like onboard bathrooms that aren't a disgrace, WiFi, etc. Forget lavatories on SEPTA rolling stock. As for other amenities, I believe the cars are supposed to be equipped wi...

Is it possible that Bombardier could sweeten the deal by maybe lowering their bid price ? Far as I'm concerned I read that they received "Very good rating". This still messes me up. I don't understand why the lowest bidder had to be awarded contracts with the technical and engineering port...
