Are they planning to use her for the Christmas season ?
Other museums bring in the big bucks with their steam engines.
I was at Strasburg this Sunday with 4 of my 7 grandchildern.
I have a son in Loves Park & have been to IRM several times, incl. their Christmas event.

Wed. 9/18 caught a bunch of MOW vehicles crossing Washington Street going East.
Looked like a gang that was going to start some serious track work.

I was interested in trains since my youth when I could hear & see freight rolling down the Ct river. Then I moved to Boston & experienced trolleys (PCCs) & subways. Next I ended up in NYC & discovered the internet. I knew for a long time that there was a trolley museum at Branford CT...

What you see in the photos is prep for the footings for building #2. The steel is coming soon too. We recently acquired some used track, plus a couple of special switches have been orderd. By the first snow fall the shells of both buildings should be up. The goal was to have tracks to the buildings ...

Those six are just the trolley cars, we also have some of the MOW & subway cars in operating condition.

So was the fan trip down the Bayridge from Fresh Pond to the Hudson River with NY & Atl power the last far trip on LIRR rails ?
