OK, Messrs Olesen and QB; I'll concede to you both, in the interest that we are expected to keep this topic rail related. Those shippers, whose cargo was loaded into the containers situated forward on the m/v Dali have valid claims against AP Moeller/Maersk - the charterer of the vessel for damage s...

I concede regarding your immediate, Mr. Olesen.

But wouldn't be if a provision of the contract to build the new bridge requires the bidder to use rail transportation to the fullest extent possible - again so as to alleviate the lost revenue affecting both roads resulting from this incident.

Interesting how those of you who think this material was simply the work of artificial intelligence. Well, if that be the case, it is certainly noticeable how the accompanying photos are largely of overseas railroads.

Mr. Scratchy, while I have no knowledge of the proposed rail tunnel you note, I guess it would have facilitated shipments between Bethlehem and points South. Today, with Bethlehem long gone, and the facility transformed to an ocean port adding six berths to the Port, such a tunnel would have added t...

The Brightline extension might have required only 28 miles of new ROW, but it also entailed extensive additional trackage, new bridges and grade crossing improvements in the stretch from West Palm to Cocoa Indeed true, Mr Mark HB. However, lest we forget that King Henry long touted the FEC as the &...

This material is not rail related, but it is indeed timely and interesting, and I hope it will be allowed to stand: https://youtu.be/Wzzt8CD3jvw?si=eic6u3TjMK4hTKro Of course, any materials needed to build the new bridge will be handled by rail, so Chessie and Topper can look forward to that windfal...

I agree, Mr. QB, that the claimants have no legal basis to impound the cargo along with the "sure bet" impoundment of the vessel. I also must wonder, to what extent could the claimants also come after Moran Towing? But if you are in any profession that tangentially touches the legal enviro...

Associated Press reports that the m/v Balsa94 sailed from BALTIMORE this past Thursday and is expected to call at Saint John today. The vessel sailed through the newly opened 10m(35') channel and is reported to be drawing 4.3 m (15') which would suggest it (sorry, but I'm "nonbinary" when ...

Following up on Mr. ExCon's immediate, Associated Press also reports vessels have sailed from the Port using the newly opened 35' channel. One of these is expected to call at Saint John today. That vessel, the m/v Balsa 92 , is reported to be drawing 4.3m (15'), which suggests it's hardly fully lade...

What will be interesting is if some Judiciary rules that goods within the containers will also be impounded to satisfy the claimants. Now we all know that transportation companies do not take title to the ladings they handle - or at least "what did you learn in school today dear little boy of m...

Good luck; especially considering the reports that Brightline (Florida) is not "making numbers". 2028 of course means 2030, or about when Amtrak can expect to have the Airo equipment in revenue service. Maybe they'll let me out of the nursing home to fly out to KONT, take a joyride, and re...

Mr. F7, when I stated "CP goes nowhere near Sydney", I was inferring that no way could CP seek access to the Port by petitioning the applicable regulatory agency to access the Port and make rates from or to such.
