Very interested in sightings of 655 in the near future, I land at JFK tonight at 22:40 and it is the only one I haven't ridden behind, so would like to do so before it's retired. Please post if you're in the know, or see it about.

Thanks for all the replies, including the viewing location suggestions. We intend to ride the following locos if we see them so will be based at either North or South stations. Any recent sightings of the following in service with appropriate cab car loco would be appreciated as we will be in Boston...

I know where to go to find out, it's whether or not they want to tell me!

That would be useful.

Of course, this would all have been a lot easier if MBTA had their GPS systems installed in the locomotives instead of the control cars :( .Cheaper too!

Honesty I would wait a little closer to the date to start asking for numbers, locomotives and control cars are added and cut on a daily basis depending on needs (I.e failure, required inspections, service.) Maybe, but if I leave it too late I may only get a handful reported by the time I arrive. I'...

Hi, Myself and 3 friends are visiting Boston in early to mid September and would like to track down a handful of locomotives, with a view to taking a ride on them if they're in service. As we haven't got a vast amount of time available I was hoping to be able to use this mapping tool, http://www.peo...

Looks great, as a lot of new stations do these days (check out Liege Guillemins in Belgium for example - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li%C3%A8ge-Guillemins_railway_station ), but the station roof, if you can call it that, unfortunately is all style and no substance. The designers and whoever signed ...

Can anyone advise what happens with the Heartland Flyer train set in between arriving at Fort Worth and returning to Oklahoma? Does it remain in the station at Fort Worth or does it carry on to some servicing facility, and if so, where? I hope to be able to view it at Fort Worth in between the times...

Does anyone have any recent sightings of AEM7's in revenue service? Are they still active, and more to the point, are any inactive? I've visited Washington a few times since 2002 and have managed to travel on trains with all the GP40's, all the GP39's, all the HHP8's, but only managed the one AEM7, ...
