The Millstone Industrial track and the Delco Lead both started at the Jersey Ave. station. The Millstone cut through the station and continued west as far as Clyde Road in the 90's. The Delco started at a hand thrown switch at Jersey Ave. and ran parallel to the NEC for several miles. I believe the...

In the late 90's I used to be over by Black Horse Ln in Monmouth Junction a lot and there was a builder supply that got service, I thought it would be coming from Browns but looks like it comes from further west - don't see a connection. Anyone have info? I swore I replied to this last night, but n...

There is a video on Facebook of low-hanging (telephone?) wires at the Okerson Rd crossing getting touched by the train. Nothing major, but those wires are bouncing in the video... That's the video I took and posted on my Freehold Secondary site . The centerbeams were definitely hitting the Verizon ...

I'm no railroader, but is a conductor qualified to "lead" a train like this from Farmingdale all the way to Lakewood?

Anyone want to give a number on about how many out of the 125,000 attendees might have got there (or left) on the BSL?

I don't think I recall the bridge in the middle of downtown Hightstown... That one I do remember. A long one rIght in front of the fire department on an angle. And another smaller one just before it over Stockton St. They went out maybe 40 years ago, long before the highway bypass was built. Not su...

What I hadn't thought of until just now reading the above link and links in that is that if/when PATH ever makes it to ...

Near the rear of the locomotive it looks like wooden blocks maybe ? Part an (unsuccessful) re-railing process? I can imagine that poor track maintenance in County Rd was at least part to blame.

While on the subject, what is the suspected cause of the problem at NY Penn earlier in the week?

Looks like the track is now connected all the way through. They tied into the Fairfield Rd crossing some time this morning. Now for ballast, alignment, ballast, rinse and repeat. In Farmingdale they have put a bunch of rock (not ballast) down, about 50 ft in from Railroad ave extending west (north)...
