that is a strong radio skip in the southeast there. must be the humid weather i'm guessing.
i've heard the amtrak station is a good spot
also there is Q163 which spends nearly the entire day working in dewitt before it leaves to go west around 2200-2330
I'd say 20-30 trains per 24 hours. I railfanned there many years ago. Not the best town to sit in. I think going down to Savannah is probably your better option.
fort pierce is a neat spot. you can get some nice views of the intercoastal waterway from that bridge just north of the yard there.
Does the NS Cleveland Terminal dispatcher still control the CSX signals at CP-194 in Berea, Ohio? I remember this was the practice the last time I went to Berea about 3 years ago.
wow! interesting stuff. not exactly sitting at Berea, Fostoria, or santa fe jct, but still very different comparing it to north American operations.
I saw some photos of this locomotive. very unique to see that power this far east. it would be like seeing a florida east coast unit in upstate ny.
I heard the Pittsburgh stream has been discontinued
thanks for the information. very useful!
great information, any news on when the west shore will be getting the new ptc approved signals put up?
I saw a Q123 leave Dewitt last night with 3 CSX units and no train. This is an unusual move. Any reason for this?
excellent information. thanks for posting that.
it was going to cleveland. i'm guessing to balance out power like you said.
