I think they still have the contract as of right now, I saw a train about 3 weeks ago with WLE and BPRR power hauling about 90 NS hoppers come tearing north through Bradford heading towards Salamanca to hop on to the Buffalo line to head up Buffalo

I'm looking for info on signals that where used on the Erie/EL line between Dunkirk,NY to Dayton,NY and the line from Dayton to Buffalo etc.

I really do wish the WNYRHS the best of luck on this ambitious but much needed project. I mean it may never rival steam town, but it will be great addition.

the tracks you saw going into Gowanda, where the BSOR line, and that spur/siding you saw, did in fact go to the old state hospital in Gowanda; which is now the Department of Corrections Prison at Gowanda. as a local they are speaking of Irving. CSX usually doesn't have issues with their bridges, except for i guess the floods of '09 they had 'em shut down for the weather. NS however has a few more problems with theirs, especially when the ice comes down the Cattargus every year, it tends to jam agains...
