The Wyer Cars, class MP70T numbered 3500-3519 had back to back pumpkin and turquoise seating where riders bumped heads with those back-to-back with them. They were notorious for their poor seating.

"Safe is Smart" and "Long Island Rail Road Coloring Book" were Don Malone creations. The Worlds Fair book was drawn by Ronald Wing, licensed by the Worlds Fair.

Don Malone's son became a block operator.

The top and bottom ones were illustrated by LIRR Public Affairs Rep. Don Malone. Don was a prolific artist and produced most of the Railroad's artwork throughout the mid 60's, 70's and early '80's.

Not sure when this one happened, but it preceded a double decker which suffered the same fate at the hand of a car mover who moved on to become a General Foreman.
