Thanks. I don't live in Maine anymore, only coming back to see friends and family now, but I also try and do some Railfanning whenever I come back and the change on GRS/PAR have been amazing. One might say these are the good old days!

The 9 was the only steamer up and running, although the 6 was sitting by the shop warm.

Have there been more steam runs on busy weekends to keep up with crowds?

Were they out and about on Sunday? I was passing through on Amtrak and had a few hours to kill while waiting for the Empire Builder so I spent sometime at the north end of Chicago Union hoping to see them, but no such luck.

If anything it's worth a trip to shoot just on the idea that this is the first time since the 1950s to shoot a steam to diesel transition on an American railroad.
