NJTransit this spring is scheduled to receive the first powered and unpowered bi-level coaches it ordered a few years ago. Could SEPTA order this equipment? Some allege these cars have clearance issues with some overpasses on SEPTA's system. True?

Hey everyone.... I added a few new updates on the ROW since December 2023...Not much is happening with the exception of the tunnel. ALL ABOARD ! https://lackawannacutoffrehab.blogspot.com/ Thanks, Phil. I'm glad the tunnel apparently was not damaged by the recent earthquake and dozens of aftershocks.
Testing at Pueblo is required by FRA or some other regulatory agency?

These pollution-spewing fossils need to be retired. I love the look of them but they pump out more pollution that any other type of diesel locomotive on the NJT roster.

I'm really curious about the upcoming project cost estimate from Amtrak. The NE Pennsy Rail Authority might have under-estimated the cost in its zeal to get a passenger train to Scranton. We'll know later this year and if this project makes Amtrak's list for future service.
Surprising? No. But this project, if it advances, will be a more substantial and costly rebuilding than Brother Malski has stated. Does his rail authority have any money for rebuilding the Delaware River viaduct that it owns?
