No. 3618 has just arrived on the Utica branch. It will assist 3040 haul the seasonal increase in tonnage to customers in Waterville and Sangerfield. Here's a photo taken on April 3rd:

Additionally, here's a short video from April 1st. You will note a different perspective of 3040 is offered at the end.

Nice videos as expected. :-D

With trains going down the middle of the street in front of everybody's yard, I thought this might be a good spot to post this NIMBY video. Not sure whether to post here or start another. Our group being train spotters, I am wondering what everybody's opinion would be after looking at this video. My vote, they stay"

Excellent video, I watched it last night. I really like seeing all the stuff like unlocking the switch, flipping the derail, releasing hand brakes, etc that many people edit out because “it’s boring”.

Here's a video from Jan 7th featuring a view from my office as NYS&W No. 3040 crosses Genesee Street, Utica, and, approx 40 minutes later, as the short freight rolls by the old tower at the northerly end of Utica's Schuyler Street

Next, on Jan 10th, No. 3040 broke down while switching Oneida Warehouse, New Hartford, on former NYO&W tracks. The GP40 remained OOS for 2 days. On the cold (-2 degrees) morning of Jan 11th, I walked along the disabled freight
