The crew was changing ties along Snow rd today and they were also doing some tamping in the Upton yard. Looked like the caboose got some new lettering too.

Where did you hear this from? Regardless the problem is they have set a date a couple times then pushed it ahead. They don't have far to go but I would bet that's not enough time to replace the ties they marked to Washington Mills.

No, you guys will be disappointed if you go tmrw expecting to see that. Too many machines are still in the way now.

Well 1750 has been switcing the N. Grafton yard recently. I have not heard anything about a 3rd loco.....I hope that if it's true the Alco doesn't see the cutting torch!

I took a couple pix of the new ballast in West Upton a little before it snowed the 1st time.

Then I got a couple from Sibley Street a while after it snowed the 2nd time.

It looks like this at other crossings too, very obvious they've done work despite the snow on the ground. But now that the ground is frozen solid I guess it's too late to align the track until spring.

It hasn't been cold enough, long enough, for the ground to be frozen for any great depth. Certainly not enough to prevent them working for a bit longer, if there are projects that were behind schedule etc.
