General discussion about locomotives, rolling stock, and equipment

I am brand new here so bear with me for a moment or two. I use stamp collecting to satisfy my urges to ride the rails. Doing this I look up technical / mechanical information on the item (train, Locomotive, Car etc) depicted on the stamp for inclusion on the album page I mount the stamp on. Sometimes needed information is a bit hard to come by.
I am trying to get some information on the Russian Electric WL80R Class Locomotive. The WL80R looks to be similar to the VL80 class, which is an Electric, Articulated, Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo engine (this information was obtained from Wikapedia). Any help, information or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated

I just ran a google on WL80R. Frankly, there's next to nothing in English, and only a couple pieces of info in foreign languages.

I'll ask around and see if there's a Russian language railfan board out there...
