Jeff and Ryan: Yes - I am familiar with the end of track of the 101 in Media and how the two rails come to an
end W of Orange Street in the concrete trackway - there is a marker on the trolley wire as a stop guide...
From a Google Maps Streetview of West State Street (began with "S Orange Street, Media, PA 19063") there
looks to be adequate extra track for a car (or two cars) to turn at that location and/or lay over...
After this incident an overhead sign could be added along with "chocks" at the rail end -
I believe there is a reluctance to the use of any rail modifications being that the track is in the center
of the roadway and would become an unnecessary obstacle for auto drivers to avoid...
Unfortunately the CBS3 link did not work - other media sources showed that this was basically a minor
mishap with little damage to the car - I noticed some poorly-worded reports mentioning that the car's
"wheels came off" which makes this sound much worse than it actually was - there may be flange marks
in the street that may currently be visible before any road work (if necessary)...MACTRAXX
