Hey, folksies. I'm trying to get together a collection of photos of all the U&D mile markers. To that, I want to add any information about the missing markers. For example, I *believe* that MM17 is in the possession of the CMRR, removed because it was in the way of construction of a new overpass. Here is the list of markers that I have so far. If you have photos of any of these, or know of anybody who does, please send them to me! Happy to attribute them to the photographer.

I found four more:
60: (see link below, there's not a separate page for it).
86: http://www.catskillsearch.com/site/udmilemaker86/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
98: http://www.catskillsearch.com/.../east-meredith-mile.../" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
107: http://www.catskillsearch.com/.../ulster.../route30-09/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (not in its original location)
All of them linked off here: http://www.catskillsearch.com/site/ulst ... e-markers/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ernie Hunt contributed photos of 20 and 28, and information on which mileposts have not been seen recently. 17 is in Cornell Street yard. These are known to be missing: 2, 3, 28 (washed away by hurricane Irene), 32 (washed away), 33, 34, 36. 30, 31, and 40 have fallen over but are still there. He believes that 33 and 34 were also washed away, but that 36 was removed by parties unknown.

I found a bunch of pictures on Catskill Search http://www.catskillsearch.com/site/ulst ... e-markers/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I'm trying to get permission to republish them.

So, current missing list is: 51, 58, 59, 60, 64, 72, 75, 76, 77, 79-96, and 98-107. Not counting the Catskill Search ones. I also have no idea how many of these are completely missing. When I bicycled from Stamford to Bloomville, it was raining, so I wouldn't have brought my camera. K74 was in stamford, and it's 11 miles, so it (should be!) relatively easy to find 75 through 85, since it's a rail-trail and reasonably protected against accidental destruction of mileposts.

The tricky ones are going to be 85 through 96 and 98 through 106, because the railbed is 1) private and 2) overgrown.

Wow! That's far from home! 77.3km as the crow flies.

I've put the photos into a group so that you may add this photo (if you would, please): https://www.flickr.com/groups/3052716@N21/pool/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Found it on Google Street View: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.5879584 ... 312!8i6656" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
