Colebrook is a proposed destination of the Golden Eagle RR (See Mtn. Division thread in B&M/MEC forum) to be used in conjunction with the NHCR. The idea is to use the FTZ there to transload cargo to Canada and ship it to the port in Portland.

It was in the local paper that the guy with Golden Eagle met with Whitefield NH selectman last week for several hours along several state reps and senators and former senators in attendance. His plan is to reopen the line from Portland,Me to St Johnsbury Vt. and be operational for freight by the end of 2015 and potentially passenger service after that. It seems a little far fetched but we will see what happens. That is the first I heard about Colebrook. That's is the NHCR line going up there and has a large number of cars in storage on it and is in extremely bad shape.

NHCR 7324 arrived in Lancaster at 745AM and has been sorting cars behind GOGO Gas for the past 1 1/2 hours. They seem to be taking certain boxcars from both sidings and sorting them blocking the crossing at Page Hill Road for extended periods.

NHCR 7324 just left Lancaster headed north with 20 boxcars and 1 covered hopper. They have emptied the one siding behind Go Go Gas in Lancaster.

Hello,
While on my way home from work last Friday (27 June 2014), I caught the NHCR GP9 7324 pulling two cuts of five tank cars each from the siding at North Stratford to their yard and shop complex about 1.5 miles north of North Stratford. They added these ten cars to a string of 15 or so tans cars that were already stored on one track in their yard. Even after a couple of years since repainting, the 7324 still looks great, so here's links to a few photos of the two trips two and from the SLR in North Stratford:

I hope you enjoy. Have a great 4th of July (and Canada Day for those north of the border)!
Cheers,
