Hello,

Does anyone have maps that show the former track layout on the DL&W Old Road, and the Cutoff in NJ? Coupled with this question is, if you do have these maps, would you be willing to share the information from the maps with me? In addition, I am looking for maps, if available, of the two other DL&W lines that existed at Washington,NJ: the line to Phillipsburg, and the one to the CNJ Main. The older the DL&W track maps the better for my project. The reason why I am searching for these maps is that I would ideally like to have the track, scenery, and other structures accurately placed on the virtual Tristate being built for the Microsoft Train Simulator platform. The DL&W portion of the Tristate route will eventually go through Scranton, PA!

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Walter Conklin

Walter,
There is a book called the Lackawanna Railroad in Northwest NJ. It has a lot of what you are looking for. It's by Larry Lowenthal and William T Greenberg, Jr. It's dated 1987. A friend of mine has a copy and it has the proposed Cutoff routes and construction photos. It also has the old road and some of the line to P'burg.
