Went out to Coaling to catch Trains 19 and 20 meeting. Train 19 arrived first on the siding and waited about 5 minutes for Train 20 to arrive with Heritage Unit 145 on the point. Great horn work by 19 crew

Amtrak Crescents Trains 19 and 20 meet at CP Bryant on Norfolk Southern's AGS
South at CP Bryant. Train 19 gets in the clear and Train 20 holds the main for a
quick departure. Train 19 then backs out and makes its way to the station stop
at Tuscaloosa

Trains 19 and 20 from Thursday and Friday. Met a young railfan at the Tuscaloosa Station on Thursday. It was like looking into the past. He was with his parents waiting to board Train 20. It was refreshing to see a youngster interested in something more than what a video screen has to offer. Maybe it will stick with hime for the next forty years!

Went to NYC on The Crescent this week. It's a nice place to visit but I sure wouldn't want to live there. Saw lots of interesting stuff. Some of which I got on video and digital film.

The diesel power is taken off of Train 20 at Washington D.C. for the run into New York City up the North East Corridor. The electric power is taken off on the trip South and Heritage Unit 145 is put on in the lead

I dont like to shoot video like this because of the dirty windows on Amtrak train but you have to do something to document the trip.

and I really hate to do this but Heritage Unit 145 was leading Train 19 as we went through the S curves between Anniston and Birmingham and the crew was doing a great job of keeping it steady I couldn't help myself. Be sure to wait for the ending of this video

A couple of video's from the last couple of days. Mile Post 195 see's the usual suspect such as 393 stopping for signal work then starting up, NS 130, NS 172, NS 393 ..again and NS 225. As a type this I'm listening for NS 937. Looking forward to seeing what it is
On Thursday I got the Crescent's meeting at Bryant. 19 went in so 20 could pass.
