Yesterday a newsclip featured the announcement of a new Lowe's Distrbution Center in Wesfield. In addition to the 50 jobs the center will create for Wesfield's economy, the film showed in the background and, mentioned that area politicians along with business execs took a ride on the railroad that will be serving the new center. There was a nice shot of a brightly painted Pioneer Valley Caboose coupled to a contemporary stainless steamliner car. It's nice to see that at least a small portion of the Canal Line is continuing to thrive. For the sake of conversation, can anyone list all the customers Pioneer Valley has on this line?

I have been digging for almost a week now, and can't find any definitive answers from the last 5 years:

1 - What track is currently active on the PVRR?

2 - What is the current equipment roster?

3 - Current Operating Schedule?

4 - Any additional info?

As in years past we will be up in SPG for the weekend for the Big-E show, and each year we do some railfanning on Fri/Sun/Mon. This year I was thinking PVRR. Last year was B&A, the year before was GRS-West End, before that was the NHV-HFD-SPG line.

current active track on the PVRR starts at MP 0 at the south end of Westfield Yard. At the north end of the yard, the Easthampton Line and the Holyoke Line diverge. The Easthampton Line is in use to about MP 3.9
and is out of service beyond that. The Holyoke Line is used daily to approx. MP 1.5 to service the Westfield Indistrial Park. They run less frequently to Holyoke to serve Sealed Air Corp at about MP 6.7

Current Roster: CF 7's 2647, 2558, and 2597 plus the two Army units.

Operating Schedule:

PV-1 starts daily at about 3 to 4 AM and usually works a 12 hour day.

PV-2 usually works daily and starts 6 to 7 AM and works 8 - 12 hours.
