How about the Old Colony RR steam locomotive that went off a trestle on the Greenbush Line in Duxbury, Mass area, got stuck fast in salt water inlet mud and was left there to rot away? I had a next door neighbor who was a MOW worker for The New Haven and it was common knowledge about this accident. Because it was a old 1800's era engine they probably figured it would cost too much to retrieve it, so it was left to the elements. Anyone else have any additional information, please post it. Thanks.
