Hello,

I am working with two modelers who are building separate projects of sets of Erie Railroad passenger cars for the Microsoft Train Simulator platform. One of the modelers asked me if I have access to any information that the Erie Railroad, Pullman, Budd, and/or ACF put out in regards to Erie passenger car info, dimensions, drawings, images, etc. I have provided the modeler with what relatively scant information I have come across on the Internet, namely the answers that I have received in response to questions I have asked on the Erie Lackawanna email list, and the diagrams on George Ellwood's helpful Fallen Flags website. The modeler has also used extensively the Fallen Flags website to build his models.

If anyone has additional information that the Erie Railroad, Pullman, Budd, and/or ACF put out in regards to Erie passenger car info, dimensions, drawings, images, etc., the modelers and I would greatly appreciate having access to this information.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Walter Conklin

Walter,

Trusting memory is a dangerous thing... but I think Railroad Model Craftsman ran a feature on modeling the Stilwells sometime betweem 1969-1972. Maybe contact Otto to see if these are archived anywhere at Carstens.

We also have a real-life Erie Stillwell coach in the collection of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.

Sometime in the '70s, I purchased a half dozen brass Stillwell cars in HO. Both the arch window and straight window styles.
They were well built, and looked to be quite accurate.
Unfortunately, about 20 years ago, during a period of impecuniousness, I sold them very cheaply at the Cheshire, CT train show.
