In bankruptcy, Iowa Pacific is selling its passenger fleet. You can have an E unit for $60K, and an ex NP dome sleeper for under $100K

Kudos to Otto Vondrak for deciding this passed editorial muster, and to Cate Kratville-Wrinn (the late William Kratville’s daughter) for posting this on bookface.

The roster and price list are attached.

Doesn't take much to get a clean COTS for these to move by rail. I suspect anyone with the means to pick these up has already taken a serious look. The bank wants top dollar and won't get it. Hopefully a few of the unique pieces can make it to preservation vs. scrap. As much as iRM is overrun with E units I'd like to see a CNW one preserved and IIRC IPH had two still running.
