Eola

I don't know much about Eola, because I didn't do much business out there when I lived in Chicago. Is that turntable still used? And is that line up of locomotives sitting near the turntable a deadline? The makeup of that track doesn't seem to change much, and I go past about monthly on Amtrak #3 or #4. However, there's some EMD lease units in blue/white, and I can't imagine BN would pay to have dead units sitting around. However, I don't know much to make an accurate judgement.

Last time I was through there, they still used the turntable and the engines were running waiting for assignments. Saw a RS-3 there once that wasn't in operational condition but don't remember what road it was from.

I don't think they are using the turntable. I've seen them using the wye just west of Route 59. The car unloading ramp is no longer there, but the lead to Nabisco is.
