I'm sorry, but I don't kow. I was actually wondering the exact same thing. Unfortunately, I took the picture 25 years ago and I don't recall if I asked anyone at the time or not.

The B&O Museum is not in one of the best areas of Baltimore. Neighborhood children are like children everywhere where there is not adequate supervision....they will destroy anything....just because they can. During the streamlined era of the B&O's Capitol Limited with the Observation cars Napanee and Wawasee the drumhead of the train was a brass plaque centered on the lower part of the rear car door and it was flanked on either side by brass plaques of the B&O's Capitol Dome herald.
