Will this job end up back in Lawrence again come winter? I can't imagine Ciment Quebec will be wanting 5+ day service once we hit winter, which seems to have been the driving force on this.

How often do jobs get bid out?

Who knows. They can just as easily keep the job where it is and do other work more.

Google earth shows a bunch of cars in Yard 8. A couple of scrap gondolas, a tank car and some that look like cement cars. Is this a recent photo I wonder?

Additives make concrete work pretty much year-round.
The bottom right-hand side of Google Earth has an entry for image date, so that should tell everyone.

Is the switch at the southeast end of the Yard 8 runaround removed? If so, it is from this year.

Wynn Casino Dirty Dirt Update

The assembly of two storage tracks has already begun. They probably have about half of one track already completed. Upon completion, there will be two storage tracks at 1500' each. Service is expected to be five or seven days a week, although it is unclear where the pulled cars will go. There's talk of bringing LOSA/SALO back in order to combat the lack of intrachange space in Boston.

Very dirty dirt. Greenpeace in 1983 canoed up the Chelsea Creek and plugged Monsanto's outfall pipe. Air pollution was a daily problem, fires and railroad leaks were common https://www.bostonglobe.com/business/20 ... story.html
