Discussion relating to the current operations of the Boston & Maine, the Maine Central, and the Springfield Terminal railroads (as well as the Delaware & Hudson while it was under Guilford control until 1988). Will this job end up back in Lawrence again come winter? I can't imagine Ciment Quebec will be wanting 5+ day service once we hit winter, which seems to have been the driving force on this.

Google earth shows a bunch of cars in Yard 8. A couple of scrap gondolas, a tank car and some that look like cement cars. Is this a recent photo I wonder?
Additives make concrete work pretty much year-round.

The assembly of two storage tracks has already begun. They probably have about half of one track already completed. Upon completion, there will be two storage tracks at 1500' each. Service is expected to be five or seven days a week, although it is unclear where the pulled cars will go. There's talk of bringing LOSA/SALO back in order to combat the lack of intrachange space in Boston.
