The last scenes near that fire house are actually Broadway in Revere.

Very near the end, with the trackless coming off Beach St. A test run from Revere Beach Loop. Regular service at the time would have been right to left in front of the fire house. It was probably the busiest time for Revere Car House, since Eagle Street had closed.

Great film! It would be enhanced (IMO) by vintage late 40's big band music...Ellington, Dorsey, Basie perhaps?
