Steve: As usual good additions to LIRR history each month...

I noticed one error on the New York Mets page:
The Mayor's Trophy Game promotion was August 24, 1972 - NOT 1974.
Two of the players on that trip - Mets pitcher Danny Frisella and
Yankees outfielder Ron Swoboda - were no longer with either team in 1974.

Thank you. I made the date correction to 1972. The reference I received: "...After the 1969 Championship, one Special was operated on the mainline. It had a flatcar between at least two Parlors. Special Service Attendants were handing out White Rock sodas to the crowd, and Second Baseman Wayne Garrett spoke on the flat car...." ... Would this refer to this flyer we are discussing?:
