I drove through Tuckahoe today and here is what I saw:

First, near the tower, there were two black former CNJ locomotives with a small orange car attached behind them.

Just south of the crossing there was a line of tanker cars.

Also, unrelated to the CMSL but always interesting is the fact that a coal train is parked on the Millmay siding.

I don't know specific equipment that well, but I thought that I would report on what we saw today.
I'm assuming that the CMSL freight service is starting soon...

The CSX coal train in Milmay siding is waiting to get into the electricity generating plant at Beesleys Point.

The locomotives at Tuckahoe are owned by the United Railroad Historical Society of NJ

and are leased to the Cape May Seashore Lines.

GP9 PRR 7000: http://www.transitspot.com/gallery/Bob- ... 4_12_18_08

#7000 was the first GP9 to be delivered to the PRR, and has always had the number 7000, although with several different owners (PRR, PC, Conrail, NJDOT).

Work on the restoration of Tuckahoe tower is progressing well, too.

That CSX V779 loaded hopper train moved to the plant today, around 11:00AM or so under symbol CA-31X. They were waiting on an NS coal train that was in the plant, which came up last night (led by some nice UP power), under symbol NS 503 (disguised NS 82T)...

As for the tank cars, they are Liquified Petrolium Gasoline cars, in storage there for Valero in Paulsboro (down on the Penns Grove Sec). They may be waiting for pickup to come back north, via CA-51 sometime soon...they are, however, unrelated to the freight service which is to start up to Woodbine relatively soon...the CMSL is simply paid a nominal fee per day, per car to store those there, since there is really no room in either Paulsboro or Pavonia now for those. Identical cars are in storage across the system on shortlines, like the SRNJ at Winslow, W&W at Bridgeton, and SMS at Bridgeport.

Also going into storage in some areas now are coke hoppers from Valero...no room for those anymore either, they may show up down at Tuckahoe soon...
