Reference to "APPLE" on IND B2 Radio????

Guys,

I regularly hear them refer to "APPLE" on the IND B2 Radio Channel. What does this mean? Thank you for everyones help.

I think its the (A) train. Every line has a name. For example, the (L) is the Larry line and the (N) is the Nancy.
