Nice pictures. Does the 1031 really still have the Screamer paintjob? Do any of the others? (I love that paintjob the most!)

Some of those photos were taken in the past few years, but only put online recently. The dates are the "photo of the day" dates for when the images were published, not when the photographs were taken.

This set of photos that I have taken are from 3 different time periods, 2000, Demember 2004 and August 2005. These are some of my favorites because a few of the cars in these photos have either been retired or modified since they were taken, or they are of a station and car that could eventually be obsolete (like the Blue Line photo). A couple of other photos here have stories involved (and the Longfelllow Bridge photo just looks cool).

One of the now retired LRV's at Riverside in 2000:

Here's 3668 also from 2000 (before it was modified):

Bowdoin with an old Blue Line 0600 2004:

A Redline 1500/1700 set crossing over The Longfellow Bridge (Summer 05):

The Acela from inside South Station:

And my favorite, "You're not allowed to take this picture":

Between a concussion, the flu, work and school I haven't had much time, inclination nor ability to do much of anything photography related lately.

Today, while waiting for a train at Green St, I snapped my first shot in about a month:

Yeap, that's the emergency power kill phone, which the Braintree extension of the Red Line lacks, but needs. Good shot, though.

Thanks. :)

I think it would be beneficial to have one that's not located directly above the third rail though. I can imagine a number of circumstances where you might need to kill the power while somewhere other than on an Orange Line train properly aligned with the phone.

It's an emergency phone, it's for when the radio fails on the train. It has nothing to do with power, it goes to the dispatcher at High St. If you notice the phones in the stations all line up where the train stops.
