Over the past several years there's been talk of light rail lines within DC. First was in Anacostia, which, I understand, so far has gone nowhere. Then I recall reading about something into NE DC -- possibly from Union Station, although I don't recall. Is anything happening on this second project?

Variations of four of the routes on that map appeared in WMATA’s Transit Service Expansion Plan published in April of 1999. Tenley Circle Georgetown Fort Lincoln, Silver Spring Navy Yard, Adams Morgan Minnesota Avenue.
