Someone has probably mentioned this trip to me in the past, but it's only registering now b/c I recently saw a picture of the train used on this trip taken from Clinton Rd stop. There was also one of the same train at LIC.

How far down the secondary did this train go? Was it the last fan trip down the secondary?

I have some shots of that fantrip but the date I have is November, 1967.

I have a shot of the open-end observation car "Setauket" (#2038) at Clinton Road as well as a shot of RS3 #1553, also at Clinton Road.

I have another shot of the "Setauket" at Hicksville on the same fantrip.

There was a major fan trip in October, 1968, pulled by RS3 #1556. Judging by the various shots I've obtained, it appears that trip started at LIC, went down the Montauk branch to Jamaica and from there went out on the Main Line to Riverhead. I even have shots of it coming off the ex-Camp Upton (Bkhvn. Nat'l Lab) spur at Upton Jct.

Don't know the origin or destination of the 1967 one past Clinton Road.
