Some rail enthusiasts often forget that about freight or passenger railroad companies (I also am guilty of this some times, not going to deny that), they don't do these things for fun, they do it for money . . . well maybe some times they do things for fun on occasion
(In an attempt to stay on topic) Are any Susie-Q boxcars still in service? The one's with Susie holding the lantern? (and blowing the topic focus right out the window) And does anyone have any photos of them? I want to get decals made for one, but I can't find one that's clear enough or a good profile shot of the logo or reporting marks.
