On my trip to Ohio and Indiana this past week, I heard a train with a CSX horn, only to see a Conrail unit in the lead. I also witnessed vise versa at Marion, Ohio. Has CSX been converting the monotone Conrail horns to their own 5-chimers?

Since former CR units are in service, and being serviced throughout the CSX system, it makes sence that if a unit suffers a failure, it is replaced with what is at hand in the shop, be it CSX or former CR shops. Also, former CR shops are now owned by CSX they purchase parts as CSX practices.

Conrail engines had decent seats on them too, ones that did not take two
or three people to adjust and were quite comfortable too.
