There's a better shot of that in Railpace 11/06 P. 32, although the pictured unit is clearly number 9925 visible both on the side and on the number boards. Perhaps a pair were painted this way.

I can see where the blue would be Confused with an older Conrail unit since it could pass for some variations of the CR color. But it's shiny and the units have "frenched" ditch lights, among other things, that would give away up close they aren't of CR heritage.

this is the blue unit..and the other E-units, in BN green, are also visable behind the Blue unit in the Larry yard pic.

After reading that, I practically shot out of my chair to get my pictures of the ex-BN E-8s that I had taken in '05 in Nashville. Angle isn't great, but what can you do?

(Error made... Now trying to work out the bugs. Pictures coming soon... hopefully.)
