CB&Q Track Omaha-Plattsmouth

Hi all (this is my first post),
I'm interested in information on when/how the track from Omaha to Bellevue and Plattsmouth along the Missouri was built (1870's I believe). Where would the surveying and engineering drawings be archived, as well as any photos.
