WNYP upgrade projects under motion in Corry PA

The western Pennsylvania portion of the WNYP is getting some attention with the upgrades of tie replacements and welded rail included in the project. As information and pictures are posted on the Railfan.net WNYP forum site take a look, the pictures and comments tell the story. $3 million over the nest three years. 7.5 Million in Welded rail.
Good to see these improved conditions and more to come. Way to go WNYP! Thanks to the State of Pennsylvania for there attention to Rail service and dedication to help improve and keep this line improving.

It's a huge pile of stone and a huge pile of ties in Corry Pa! And work is scheduled to begin on the Pennsylvania section in two weeks on the multi million $$$ rail upgrade. Welded rails comin' soon!
