What type of company are they to work for ?

Hello , Your questions are very vague!!!! Are you looking to be an employee , are you an investigator with a FELA law firm? I do not understand where your post title comes from , please elaborate!

Your three questions don't seem to form a pattern.

There are Pan Am employees here. From anecdotal evidence, they aren't a great company to work for, but I'm not an employee so I can't give an expert opinion.

Accident Reconstruction questions would have to be directed to the B&M Railroad Police. Pan Am's police force still wears Boston and Maine patches.

The B&M railroad police do not re-construct accidents at the railroad, that is the job of the applicable managers of each craft and the FRA and NSTB. The RR police are used for investigative purposes: i/e, theft , property issues , tresspassing . The B&M police have at one time , escorted an locomotive engineer of the property when he turned 70 years old. Mandatory Retirement , he did not want to go! Back to the Accident reconstruction , I believe that PAR does a three man inspection when a F27 accident report is filed. That reconstuction team consists of a manager , a union rep and a peer from the craft affected. PAR Management , IMHO probably try to cover up as much as they can regarding personal injuries and reportable accidents ! This is done on many railroads to keep lost man hrs minimal.The Harriman Award for Safety has
been issued to the GRS numerous times in the past , a fact that employees should be proud of !

After looking over this stuff, the questions sound like some that would come from an attorney who is lining up a lawsuit
against one or more railroads. I suggest this be locked and that the people on here do not get involved.
For the most part I think we have a good relationship with the industry and stuff like this will not help us in that respect.
Let attorneys do their own fishing without help from the railfans who are supposed to like the industry.

I would think/hope that an attorney would be able to write much more coherently than what we've seen here.

Regardless, since none of us can figure out the point of this thread, and since the author hasn't been back to clarify what he's trying to ask, let's not spend any more time speculating about it.
